SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion is heading for release this week and it has already raked in Rs Rs 500 crore in pre-release deals.
Touted as the biggest Indian film ever produced, Baahubali 2 is predicted to kick start the box office records with Rs 100 crore on April 28.
Releasing in a record-breaking 9000 screens in India and abroad the movie is likely to rake in huge moolah when compared to the first installment which released in 4000 screens.
Trade analysts predict that the Telugu version could alone collect a gross figure of around Rs 40 crore while the Hindi dubbed version would bring in around Rs 35-40 crore. Another Rs 25-30 crore is expected from the other dubbed versions – Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
While Baahubali raked in Rs 75 crore on its opening day, it went on to collect Rs 650 crore. Now, the sequel is likely to end up with Rs 750 crore in its theatrical collections and combined with Rs 500 pre-release profits from the theatrical rights, Baahubali 2 might just become the first ever movie in India to cross Rs 1000 crore at the box office
