Recruitment Alert: BSNL Recruitment to be held through GATE 2019

Engineers who are preparing for GATE 2019 now have a reason to be joyful. The mass recruiter BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has notified vacancies to be filled through GATE 2019.  The registration for recruitment would begin soon on BSNL’s official website.

Though the vacancies are less than the previous year, there is a chance for meritorious candidates to get placed as a Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) with a renowned name in India’s telecom domain. With 2500 plus posts expected to be at offering the competition would be anything but cut-throat.

Candidates must go through the detailed eligibility criteria before applying for the post and must ensure that they satisfy the minimum required eligibility conditions.

Post declaration of results of GATE 2019 candidates would be required to apply for the post of JTO by visiting the official website and filling the detailed application form.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria would only be considered fit for application and recruitment process for the post of JTO in BSNL. The detailed eligibility criterion is listed below for your reference:

Candidate must have passed/or in the final year of BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Telecom/Electronics/Radio/Computer/Electrical/IT/Instrumentation engineering or have done M.Sc. (Electronics)/M.Sc. (Computer Science) from recognized university.

Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years and must not be more than the age of 30 years as on January 1st, 2019 (age relaxation would be applicable for reserved categories accordingly).

He/she should have obtained a valid score in GATE 2019.

Candidate must be an Indian.

The above eligibility criterion is indicative in nature and the official authorities have the discretion to add any other criterion to the above-mentioned list as per the need of the organization.

Procedure for application  

Candidates can make application for BSNL JTO based on the score obtained in GATE 2019 exam. The step by step application process is explained for your reference:

• Visit the official website of BSNL
• Click on JTO recruitment button
• Register with your e-mail and id and create a login password
• Login and fill the detailed application form
• Pay the application fee
• Click on preview application form and check for mistakes (if any) and edit the same
• Click on final submit
• Take a print out of finally submitted form for future reference

Selection of the candidates would be made on the circle-wise basis i.e. state-wise circle and zone division of BSNL’s operation. Candidates would be asked to fill their choice of the circle while applying for the JTO. Recruitment and shortlisting for merit list would be done on the cut-off, performance of the candidate in GATE exam, and choice of the circle filled by the candidates.
