Salman plays the lead role of a man-child who is lovingly called Tubelight . The reason why he’s called so, is because the script has him playing a man who is a bit slow in picking and learning many things. Salman khan is someone who is a slow learner and has a tough time picking up hints. Despite the shortcomings, the character sets out on an unimaginable journey to find his brother (Sohail Khan).
Tubelight will be a cross border love story set in the year 1960-62 where the guy is from India who falls in love with a girl from China. It will be a period film based on the time when India was at war with China.
Salman Khan’s leading lady in Tubelight, Zhu Zhu is a 32 year old popular actress and model from China.She has already been seen in international projects like Shanghai Calling, What Women Want, The Man with the iron fists etc
Tubelight is not based on an original script but is actually a remake of the 2015 Hollywood film Little Boy. The report goes on to say that the only difference between the films is that while Little Boy has a father-and-son track, Tubelight has the same plot device involving two brothers played by Salman and Sohail.
