The Honorary Doctorate Award Council (HDAC) hosted a remarkable convocation ceremony last week in New Delhi, recognizing individuals from all walks of life who have made significant contributions to society. The event brought together an inspiring mix of grassroots change makers, political figures, Bollywood celebrities, and international diplomats, all united by their dedication to public service, innovation, and societal betterment.
Among the esteemed awardees were Mr. Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Former Minister of Textiles of India, Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Bollywood Actress and Philanthropist, Wrestlers Neha Rathi and Narsingh Yadav, Ms. Tashi Peldon, Deputy Chief of Mission, Bhutan Embassy, H.E. Mr. Jagannath Sami, High Commissioner of the Republic of Fiji, H.E. Mr. Dato Alaihuddin Mohamad Taha, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam, and H.E. Mr. Abdillahi Assoweh Isse, Ambassador of Djibouti, H.E. Mr. Armin Mesinovic Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Shri. Nawab Najaf Ali Hussain. In addition to these prominent figures, the awards honored individuals making a difference at the grassroots level, such as Vijay Devarkhyani, a disability rights activist, a village Sarpanch from Maharashtra, and women leaders from various states who have championed social causes, Ms. Nishi Bhatt Category of doctorate – Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Drikunj kagyu institute Dehradun Uttarakhand.
