The resort derives its name from the Sanskrit word- Aahana which means the first rays of the rising sun and true to its name the first rays of the sun falls on the resort making the landscaped property look more beautiful.
As soon as I landed at this place I was mesmerized by its victorian style architecture, large luxury rooms overlooking jungles, swimming pool & lawns.The property is beautifully designed and has a trendy appeal.It is located at Sawaldeh village in Ram Nagar which is around 260kms from Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The rooms are very spacious,super comfortable and luxurious. They are beautifully designed in contemporary fashion for excellence. The rooms are equipped with tea/coffee makers, a mini bar fridge, telephone, safe deposit box, 32”/42” LCD TV with Tata Sky connection, 24hrs running hot & cold water and excellent air-conditioning.. The resort also has a multi cuisine restaurant serving authentic Indian, Oriental and Mediterranean cuisines.
The resort offers a Pool Table, Table tennis,badminton and basketball court for all sport lovers where guests can sweat out while playing games in the evening.They also have a Swimming Pool which is one of the best I have experienced along with an organic garden as well as their gaushala to meet all dairy needs. They also have a separate section for kids pool and a small waterfall where kids can enjoy, entertain and have fun.The resort also offers jungle safari and nature walks along with cycling and Buggy ride.

Corbett experience without a jungle safari seems incomplete.So on the final day of my stay I went for a Jungle safari with a group of other travelers along with a tour guide .Unfortunately we haven’t had any sightings but the safari experience was amazing.we visited the ancient temple of Sitabani which is situated in the middle of Sitabani Forest Range. .This temple holds religious significance as it is believed that goddess Sita gave birth and raised her sons luv & Kush here.Set amidst forests,this is the best place to relax in between the safari having a large no. of small sized monkeys all around the temple complex.
Overall I had a wonderful stay and a memorable experience at Aahana and the best part of this trip was live music and the bonfire in the evening by the poolside. This place is highly recommended if you are planning for a trip to Jim Corbett.
