Nokia Phone Saves Man’s Life by taking Bullet

A Nokia phone reportedly saved a man’s life in Afghanistan when a bullet lodged in the device.

“A Nokia phone I worked on a few years ago saved the life of a man in Afghanistan last week,” tweeted Peter Skillman, a general manager at Microsoft Tuesday.  Skillman was previously a design executive at Nokia, which was purchased by Microsoft in 2014.

Peter Skillman’s tweet reads, “A Nokia phone I worked on a few years ago saved the life of a man in Afghanistan last week. The embedded bullet.” The picture attached clearly shows a bullet hitting right in the screen of the phone, passing through it and getting stuck in it. Both the front and back sides of the phone are shown in the image. The back panel of the phone has the Nokia logo, confirming that it is after all a Nokia phone. Though, there’s no information about when the incident took place, who was the person shot at, and which Nokia model it was. Peter Skillman admits he has no information about the man whose life is claimed to be saved by the phone. Nevertheless, the image looks quite compelling.

This is not the first time that a phone has reportedly stopped a bullet. Other incidents include a Lumia 520 that prevented a bullet from hitting a Brazilian police officer in 2014 wherein a Nokia X2 saved a man’s life in Syria by yet again, dodging a bullet.
